Caffeina, Goddess of Energy and Clear Thinking

Oftentimes depicted as a beautiful woman rising from a hot coffee cup, Caffeina, the patroness of coffee and tea is believed to bring clarity of thought, profound creativity and virility.

Legend has it that during the old Roman Empire when goddess worship was a forbidden act, a nobleman prayed to the great Caffeina to give him an elixir that would keep him awake at night so he can worship and pray away from the prying eyes of the Roman soldiers. Then one day, he saw a herd of frolicking sheep which seemed to be jumping and leaping. The sight of these dancing sheep intrigued him and so he inquired why the sheep were so lively. The shepherd pointed to an unusual bush and said that after the sheep has eaten the beans growing from that bush, the herd started to become alert and lively.

And when he plucked some beans and placed it in his mouth, he immediately felt the surge of energy prompting him to dance too! Indeed his prayers were answered!

He boiled the beans and made a concoction from them…
